This is pretty much how we have treated ours. It's light enough that it feels portable for travel in a way that other regular blankets might not be. It's poorly made, though. That is somewhat expected, though.
Yeah, I like the idea of them because I'm *always* incredibly cold, but I have no tolerance for crap-quality fleece. Stuff that doesn't pill and stays soft after you wash it is an absolute requirement for me, especially if I'm going to have it in my nest.
Just fyi, the Slanket gets much better reviews than the Snuggie, though it does cost a bit more. Worth it, imo, if getting one of that style of pseudo-blanket. :)
My Dad has a Slanket-Mom got him one a few years ago and when we visit them in the winter I'm constantly borrowing it. If we still lived up north, I'd be all over one.
