After reading the authors' posts on boingboing, I have just ordered a copy of "A Guide to the Good Life: The Ancient Art of Stoic Joy," by William Irvine. I admit that stoicism has always appealed (Marcus Aurelius and his meditations have been key to sanity retention a time or two), so I look forward to seeing a modern implementation of the philosophy.
(And depressingly, that has overrun my book budget for the week and there will be no lunch tomorrow, unless I remember to pack it. C'est la vie.)
