baby steps

Registration for my new program starts tomorrow. I have so much to do it's not even funny, and I am still procrastinating about getting the work I need to do today done. I need to email myself a list of the courses I want to sign up for and the seminar times I want. And I need to find clothes, and pack my backpack, and email myself directions to walk from King's Cross to LSE. And finish cleaning up in here, and do more laundry. And, well, a bunch of other stuff. And I'm actually quite tired. Sigh.

Also,I have determined that the set of courses I wanted don't fit - post-Soviet Eurasia conflicts with economic anthropology. Grumph. I've decided to take anthropology of media instead, because it's methods-based and I think important (especially if I ever want to do nerd-research, which I might), and I figure I can read regional ethnographies on my own. Still undecided about languages, yes to German (schedule allowing), I'll probably test into level 4, but I want a second language for literature, either French of Russian but I can't decide which. Thoughts? (I'll add a field language next year, but I'm suddenly stricken with indecision about my research goals, so I'll hold off until then.)
