Mobius strip tv. I mean books. I mean TV.

The HBO series True Blood is, as we all know, a television adaptation of the Sookie Stackhouse novels by Charlaine Harris. In fact, it's an adaptation of A Novel - one per season. So can someone please explain to me why it is that I have an email in my inbox this morning advising me of the existence of a novelization of this television adaption of a novel? I think I'm getting dizzy.
